for someone preparing for the Goethe A2 exam is this considered a good source ? keep in mind that the exam is in 4 weeks and I have to cramp study the content

German native speaker here. Not the worst German by a non-native actor I have ever heard (that would be Gregory Peck in "Guns from Navarone"), not the best either. It is understandable with some effort. Question is, does it need to be better? What is the character of the movie or TV series? It's not a documentary. The point is that she is insanely educated in ways unusual for normal Americans, and maybe only learned (but to a very high level) German from books. So it actually would be the perfect way how she SHOULD speak German.

So interesting! I have a young grandson living in Germany. My English daughter and her German-born husband moved there a few years ago and they speak only English with him, but his Oma only German (although her English is quite good), and at Kita, Kindergarten and everywhere else outside the home he’s heard only German. He spoke a lot of Denglish up till just a few months ago but now seems to have settled into a more clearly defined bilingual pattern of English (with the odd German word) with his parents and me (on FaceTime or when they come over to England) and German outside the home or with his father’s family. Interestingly, when they are all together, they stick to that but he and his parents will speak in German to the family, so there’s a lot of switching between both languages. Luckily all in the family except Opa understand English quite well. I find it all fascinating as I’m bilingual myself and studied French, German and other languages. The funniest and most interesting thing he does is to apply logically German grammar forms to English past tenses but with hilarious results eg “Ich habe gehidden/ gesaid/ gejumped” and others. It’s also interesting that although he spent more time with his mother in the first few months, and she has a native English accent, this has proved to be a weaker influence on his English accent than his father, who has a slight German accent and Oma, who has a strong German accent. That’s because they also do a lot of the childcare so my grandson now speaks English with a German accent eg “Tvinkle, tvinkle little staar / How I vonder vot you aar”! That was something I hadn’t expected at all - I thought his mother’s accent would come naturally to him but she’s the only one he hears it from and the surrounding German environment is obviously a stronger influence.

That's the truth. Give 2-3 hours/day and that's more than enough. If you keep chasing the end of a level, you're never gonna make it till the end. Enjoy the learning process, take some time and then, you're gonna see the results yourself.
